Fright Fest Returns to Frontier City Sept. 26

Wednesday, August 19, 2026

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — Aug. 18, 2026 — Frontier City today announced an expanded lineup of screams, surprises and seasonal fun as Fright Fest and Kids Boo Fest return on select dates Sept. 26 through Oct. 31.

By day, Kids Boo Fest delivers family-friendly Halloween fun filled with trick-or-treating, seasonal activities and not-so-scary adventures. After dark, Fright Fest transforms the park into a nightmare-filled landscape where monsters emerge from the shadows, haunted attractions come to life and screams echo throughout the midway.

This year's event introduces an all-new haunted maze, two new scare zones and an expanded lineup of Halloween entertainment, joining returning guest favorites to create Frontier City's most immersive Halloween season in recent years.

"We're taking Halloween to an entirely new level in 2026," said Kelly Daugherty, Six Flags’ director of entertainment. "With legendary horror franchises, immersive haunted attractions, expanded scare zones, live entertainment and nighttime ride experiences, we're delivering our most intense and most complete Halloween lineup ever. Guests won't just watch these stories unfold—they'll step inside them."

Fright Fest: Where the Whole Park Turns Into Your Nightmare

As darkness falls, Frontier City becomes a fully immersive Halloween experience featuring five haunted mazes, three scare zones, six live entertainment experiences and nighttime rides that take on a completely different personality after sunset.

NEW: Nightmare Mansion

The Hope family were a happy bunch. Then young Timothy snapped. Guests who dare enter Nightmare Mansion will step inside the halls of the family's twisted home and uncover the remnants of the nightmare left behind. Overturned furniture, torn family photos and unsettling sounds hint at a story that is far from finished. Somewhere within the mansion, Timothy's presence still lingers.

NEW: Silent Night Slaughterhouse

A holiday nightmare unlike any other awaits in this twisted new scare zone. 'Twas the night before slaughter, and all through the house, a few creatures were stirring, sending screams all throughout. Guests will wander through a chilling landscape where stockings drip red, carols turn cold and something sinister descends from the chimney. Christmas has come early, and it has brought terror with it.

NEW: Doll House

Something is wrong with these dolls. Pairs of painted eyes watch from the shadows. Guests may swear one blinked. Others seem to move when no one is looking. Nobody remembers who made them or why they were abandoned, but one thing is certain: these dolls are not as sweet as they seem.

Returning Favorites

Guests will also encounter returning scare zones, haunted attractions and roaming monsters throughout the park, creating an atmosphere of suspense from one end of Frontier City to the other.

The thrills continue beyond the haunted attractions as guests experience Frontier City's coasters, family rides and favorite attractions under the glow of Fright Fest. With monsters lurking throughout the park, every trip from one ride to the next becomes part of the adventure.
