OKCPS launches new initiative to foster community connections, boost student success

In an effort to strengthen community ties and enhance educational experiences, Oklahoma City Public Schools (OKCPS) recently hosted a Community and Family Engagement (CAFÉ) event at John Marshall Enterprise High School. This event marked a significant step in the implementation of the School Connect initiative, a new community partnership model.

The program aims to create a dynamic network of community partners, businesses, nonprofits, families and individuals working together to support OKCPS schools, students and teachers. The ultimate goal is to establish lasting and mutually beneficial relationships, addressing critical needs in three key focus areas: teacher retention, staff and student attendance, and learning environment.
