Frontier City will take center stage May 17 as 441 members of American Coaster Enthusiasts travel from around the world to Oklahoma City for the 2026 ACE Spring Conference.
The group includes attendees from 40 states, the District of Columbia and three international countries, many of whom will be visiting Frontier City for the first time. The park, which opened in 1958, blends its Western theme with a mix of classic rides and modern attractions, offering a unique setting for the flagship event.
Frontier City will host attendees for a day of exclusive experiences, including behind-the-scenes tours, discussions with park leadership and special ride access with exclusive after-hours time on select attractions.
American Coaster Enthusiasts leaders praised Frontier City’s role in preserving amusement park history and delivering memorable guest experiences.
“The park is being very gracious with behind-the-scenes activities, allowing members to get a true sense of Frontier City,” ACE Communications Director Derek Perry said. “The organization is grateful for the hospitality.”
ACE President Elizabeth Ringas highlighted the park’s commitment to preserving classic attractions.
“Many attendees will be experiencing Frontier City for the first time,” Ringas said. “The park’s rescue of the Wildcat roller coaster in 1991 aligns with ACE’s mission to preserve historic rides and experiences. ACE commends Frontier City for those efforts.”
The conference continues a multi-day experience for attendees, who will visit Frontier City following two days of events at Six Flags Over Texas.
ACE Events Director Tim Baldwin, who grew up in Oklahoma, said the return to the state marks a significant moment for the organization.
“This marks the first national-scale ACE event in Oklahoma in 35 years,” Baldwin said. “The group is excited for attendees to experience the charm and character of Frontier City.”
