Employment Opportunities:

Director of Business Development (Economic Development) - Director works to encourage the creation of new jobs and capital investment to improve the overall economy of Central Oklahoma.  Oversees the division's business development activities (recruitment and project management) and manages related staff and budget.  Degree in relevant field including economic development, business, marketing or economics.  Graduate of Economic Development Institute, eight years of proven professional experience.  Proven ability to close deals through solid sales and project management is critical.

Research Coordinator -
Entry level position available on our economic development team.Position serves as a resource for information and business intelligence about the Greater Oklahoma City region.  Research coordinator utilizes data analysis and research to assist in the recruitment of new-to-market companies to the region as well as help existing companies grow. Degree in economics, library science, GIS, data analytics, public administration, economic development, city planning or business preferred.  Advanced computer skills required.  GIS and Tableau knowledge a plus.

Convention Services and Housing Manager - Position provides customer service to Bureau clients in the areas of meeting planning, housing, registration, site inspection, tours and meeting collateral materials.  Bachelor's degree in related field - Hospitality or Destination Management preferred.  Previous hospitality industry experience desired.  Meeting and convention planning  experience or knowledge.  Above average computer skills - data management experience preferred.

Communications Coordinator -  Works with senior manager of destinations communications to promote Oklahoma City to media and social influencers at tradeshows and other pitching efforts.  Coordinate media visits, write and disseminate news releases and other media updates.  Assist with event planning.  Bachelor's degree in marketing, strategic communications, journalism or related field plus one to three years' experience in a professional environment performing similar duties. Ability to write journalistic style - AP style preferred.

Vice President of Destination Marketing -  Position is responsible for developing and implementing marketing and communications strategies to promote Oklahoma City as a visitor and convention destination as a part of the Convention and Visitors Bureau.  Works with the Chamber's marketing and communications team to leverage all available resources.  Bachelor's degree in journalism, marketing, communications or related field.  Minimum seven years related professional experience.  Knowledge of media production, communication and dissemination techniques and methods including alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral and visual media.  Must be a strategic thinker with ability to collaborate.  Demonstrated supervisory experience of professional staff.

Internships -- All internships will be part time and for credit; hours are negotiable. Parking will be provided.

All positions require completion of your junior year in college, maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale), have excellent written and oral communication skills and working toward a degree in a field related to the internship selected.
