Business Development Manager -   The Greater Oklahoma City Chamber is seeking a business development manager to add to its business recruitment team. The manager’s primary goal is to encourage the creation of new jobs and capital investment to improve the overall economy of the greater Oklahoma City region.The manager will serve as a contact for inquiries, engage area partners, prepare proposals and develop itineraries for client visits and administer a series of events, outreach initiatives and company engagements.The manager will assist in promoting Oklahoma City to site selection consultants through building relationships.  The manager will also participate in call trips and prospect visits as well as trade shows and conferences.   Degree in relevant field such as business, marketing or economics.  Three years of experience in business outreach, sales, project management or other relationship management-related roles.

Vice President of Sports Development -  The Oklahoma City Convention and Visitors Bureau is seeking an energetic and dynamic leader to serve as the Vice President of Sports Development.  The vice president will lead the sports department for the Bureau and direct, as well as, perform the sales and marketing initiatives required to solicit and service athletic events for Oklahoma City.  The Vice President will serve as the “sports expert” for Oklahoma City with media as well as national organizations inquiring about sporting events and sports facilities in Oklahoma City.


  • Four-year degree from an academic institution.
  • Minimum of six years’ experience in related sports marketing, special events or hospitality sales and marketing.
  • Must possess a strong client base and knowledge within the national sports field.
  • Extensive knowledge of the amateur sports business and market.
  • Experience preparing and presenting bids for sports business.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Strong track record in attainment of sales and marketing goals.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule.
  • Organized self-starter with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and can effectively analyze and interpret data.
  • Must be willing and able to travel as required.

CRM Database and Sales Coordinator -  Coordinator works with the Vice President of Sales and the convention sales department to administer the basic functions of the Oklahoma City Convention and Visitor Bureau's web-based customer relationship management software to fulfill the Bureau's mission of short and long-term strategic sales and convention marketing objectives.  Position provides administrative support to the sales team and other areas as assigned.  Two or four-year degree preferred.  Extensive computer knowledge and skills (including database).  Experience with hotel industry or DMO software a plus. Above average communication  and grammar skills. Ability to write effective reports and business correspondence.  Strong analytical skills.
