A progress report of Oklahoma County's criminal justice reforms

In 2016, the Vera Institute of Justice identified seven recommendations Oklahoma County leaders needed to address to bring real reforms to the criminal justice system. To understand where the county made progress and what further improvements in the system are necessary, the Oklahoma County Criminal Justice Advisory Council sought assistance from the Crime and Justice Institute to analyze data from the detention center, review state statutes and agency policies, and interview numerous system stakeholders.

Join us at the Chamber Forum on Wednesday, Jan. 17 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. to hear city and county leaders discuss the results of the new study and what's next. Networking begins at 11 a.m.

Speaking on the panel are:

Vicki Behenna, District Attorney, Oklahoma County

Leonard W. Engel, Esq., Director of Policy & Campaigns, Crime and Justice Institute

Molly Robustelli, Manager, Crime and Justice Institute

Timothy Tardibono, Executive Director, Oklahoma County Criminal Justice Advisory Council

The cost to attend is $45 for Chamber members and $55 for nonmembers. A discounted full-season package of 10 tickets can also be purchased for $400 by emailing register@okcchamber.com.
