OKC Chamber releases legislative agenda for 2016 session

Wednesday, January 20, 2016

The Greater Oklahoma City Chamber released its legislative agenda for the 2016 session during its annual Legislative Breakfast on Wednesday. About 600 people attended.

Part of the Chamber's mission is to advocate for issues important to Oklahoma City's business community, and the Legislative Breakfast gives members a chance to hear from elected leaders about what lawmakers expect this session, which will begin Monday, Feb. 1, and recess by Friday, May 27.

The Chamber's priorities this year include retaining economic/community development programs that are critical in attracting new businesses, upholding Gov. Mary Fallin's veto of Senate Bill 41 and improving on the workers' compensation reform legislation passed in 2013, among other issues involving education, health care, transportation and more.
