Downtown Oklahoma City during the holidays looks much different today than it did just 10 or 15 years ago. Today during the holidays, it is teeming with people who are taking part in all the Downtown in December events such as ice skating and winter tubing. Also, the decorations in Automobile Alley, Bricktown, the Myriad Botanical Gardens and the Devon Energy Center are all worth a trip to see.
But it's quite fun to go even farther back -- to the early- to mid-1900s -- and see what the holidays were like in Oklahoma City back then, with crowds and shopping and parades and decorations.
Take a look at this group of photos compiled by The Oklahoman from its archives, and enjoy the trip through the past.
