Friday, December 4, 2015

Oklahoma City’s annual downtown holiday celebration offers plenty of family-friendly activities between now and January. The Devon Ice Rink is already open for ice skating in the Myriad Botanical Gardens, 301 W Reno Ave.

Another popular event, the Snow Tubing Winter Festival at the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, opens on Saturday, Dec. 5, with weekend sessions between then and Dec. 19 and then daily sessions except Christmas Day. Also going on are a SandRidge Santa Run, Winter Shoppes at the Myriad Gardens and Pop-Up Shops at Midtown; performances by Lyric Theatre, the OKC Philharmonic, the Oklahoma City Ballet, Reduxion Theater; adventures at the Oklahoma River; lights in Automobile Alley; and more.

While you're there, check out the lights along Automobile Alley, see the city's Christmas tree in Bricktown or go to the Myriad Botanical Gardens for the Winter Shoppes. Eat, shop and make merry in all the spots along the way.

For a comprehensive list, go online to Downtown in December.
