"Clean and safe" was the theme at a recent event demonstrating how the pulsed xenon UV light deployed by the OKC Convention Center's new robots destroys pathogens, including those that cause COVID-19.

Recognizing the importance of properly disinfected surfaces for conventiongoers and employees alike, the Oklahoma City Convention Center opted to purchase Xenex LightStrike Germ-Zapping Robots to quickly and effectively destroy harmful pathogens that can lurk on high-touch surfaces, including those that cause COVID-19. With events under way, the center's 10 robots are being used to both disinfect and deodorize exhibit halls, ballrooms, pre-function spaces and terraces, as well as meeting rooms. The robots are part of ASM Global's "VenueShield" program designed to keep facilities safe and clean.

“Deactivating germs is critical to maintaining sustainable business operations,” said Al Rojas, OKCCC General Manager. “We are thrilled to be open and hosting world-class events. Having these germ-zapping robots on our team gives us confidence that we’re providing the cleanest environment for our employees and the people attending events here.”
