OKC Chamber member Levant Technologies has partnered with Folk Secrets-creator Trifecta Communications and other metro businesses to underwrite and collaborate on the project, which kicks off on June 30th at 10am. The first clue will be announced via Facebook live. Participants must download the Folk Secrets Codex App on their mobile device and use it to scan clues to activate augmented reality experiences. Clues are spread throughout Cleveland and McClain counties, and include Moore, Norman, Noble, Purcell, Lexington, and south Oklahoma City.

As an Oklahoma-based developer of emerging technologies, Trifecta Communications created the Folk Secrets project as an experiment in storytelling. Trifecta collaborated with local media outlets on the project and got several businesses on board as underwriters (with Levant Technologies being one of them!).

“Levant Technologies believes in our local communities,” said Levant CEO Stacy Eads. “It was important to our team to support local charities in our Moore, Norman, Noble, and south OKC area through this fun Folk Secrets app. We can’t wait to see everyone get involved in the treasure hunt to win.”

Folk Secrets is a collaborative effort between Cleveland/McClain county media outlets including Moore Monthly, Norman Transcript, Moore American and the Purcell Register.  The project is underwritten by area businesses including BancFirst, Cobble Insurance Agency, Inc., Crossland’s Rental, Levant Technologies, Lincoln Lending, Nosh, Norman Regional Health System, Oz Saferooms, Randall’s Temperature Control and Vans Pig Stands.

“This is an opportunity to get out and explore where we live, learn about our history and help charity at the same time,” said Brent Wheelbarger, CEO of Trifecta Communications.  “It’s also a local summertime adventure families can do together and maybe win cash.”
