Three Oklahoma high school seniors, along with their families, were surprised this week to learn that they will receive OGE Positive Energy Scholarships to help pay for college. Per year, each Positive Energy Scholar will receive $15,000, which is renewable annually for up to four years, or a total of $60,000 to cover tuition, fees, books or on-campus room and board.

As the shelter-in-place order is lifted and the City enters the first phase of re-entry 67% of business proprietors said employee fear is the biggest barrier they’ll have to overcome as they move back to normal operation. The second most-pressing concern is a lack of coronavirus testing and screening, followed by a lack of hand sanitizer and a concern for legal liability.

CompSource Mutual Insurance Company, an Oklahoma-based business that provides workers’ compensation coverage to roughly one-in-three companies in the state, is donating $250,000 to assist in the COVID-19 response. Three separate funds in Oklahoma City and Tulsa are receiving donations from CompSource Mutual.
