Potential candidates: Attend Practical Politics seminar on Oct. 21

Know anyone interested in running for public office? Encourage them to attend Practical Politics, a half day seminar dedicated to educating and inspiring those interested in public office.

Potential candidates will attend workshops about running effective campaigns, fundraising, being an effective servant and more. Current and former political leaders will demystify the campaign process and demonstrate how to become actively involved in government.

Speakers and panelists are:

  • Keynote - Dr. Keith Gaddie, Chair, Department of Political Sciene at the University of Oklahoma
  • How to Run an Effective Campaign - Pat McFerron, Founding Partner, CMA Strategies
  • Technological Advances in Campaigning - Jackson Lisle, chief financial officer, and Ryan Tupps, chief operating officer, of The Right Strategy Group
  • How to Raise Funds Effectively - State Rep. Randy McDaniel
  • How to Be an Effective Servant - State Sen. Stephanie Bice, State Rep. Jason Dunnington and Oklahoma County Commissioner Ray Vaughn
  • Ethics Rules - Lee Slater, executive director of the Oklahoma Ethics Commission
