OKLAHOMA CITY (July 9, 2018) – The Greater Oklahoma City Chamber today launched a new online portal, VeloCity, designed to share the good news about what is going on in Oklahoma City, with features on local companies and those that lead them, economic news, business locations, events, ways to get connected to the community and more.
Oklahoma City’s growing and dynamic economy offers more than a few good stories to tell and VeloCity will do just that. It will also be a venue for important discussions regarding business development efforts, according to Cynthia Reid, Chamber vice president of marketing and communications.
“It’s true that VeloCity is another way that we can share Oklahoma City’s many success stories,” she said “But it will also be a great tool for dialogue about the issues that are important to our continued growth. OKC has never had a higher national profile than it does today -- whether it is a recognition of economic strength, growing status as a visitor destination or our major league success story, people are talking about our community. We have created a site that will empower Oklahoma City residents with information they can share to help raise the profile of Oklahoma City”
“In Oklahoma City, the better life we enjoy is based on a strong, diversified economy and a community that pulls together to make this an ever-better place to live,” said Roy Williams, president and CEO of the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber. “The Chamber is committed to ensuring our future: working for jobs and investment, better schools, transportation infrastructure, business-friendly policies and more. This site shares information about all of those things - I invite you to regularly visit, share some news that interests you, and help us tell OKC's unique story of continued, citizen-led renaissance to the world. www.velocityokc.com should be the first site you check in the morning.”
