A modern day renaissance – if you’ve been in Oklahoma City for long, you’ve likely heard those words used to describe our city. For nearly 20 years now, that is exactly what has happened – Oklahoma City has been transformed for the better. We’ve seen our downtown revitalized; Bricktown is a bustling entertainment district; the Oklahoma River is an Olympic and Paralympic training site. From the expanding Chesapeake Energy campus and the new AAA and Paycom buildings along the Memorial Corridor to the incredible success of The Outlet Shoppes at Oklahoma City, there are countless success stories across the metro.

We did not get where we are today by chance. It took a great deal of hard work and planning, and the commitment of our citizens. But most importantly, it took vision. Visionaries are vital to the growth and success of a city and region. Oklahoma City has had the good fortune to have a long run of visionaries who have shaped the city we live in today.

The Chamber’s member companies are key to much of the success our city has seen. Corporate and civic leaders have worked to create quality places, spaces and jobs. But we must keep looking toward the future. Working with our Board of Directors, Board of Advisors and our more than 5,000 member companies, the Chamber has instituted a variety of projects in an effort to help support Oklahoma City’s next generation of visionaries. Through programs such as OKConnect, InternOKC and others, we are looking toward the future and working to motivate and prepare individuals to be the future of our city. It is up to us to keep our forward momentum going. Together, we can ensure that Greater Oklahoma City remains a great place to live, work, play and visit for generations to come.
