David Todd, program manager for Oklahoma City's Metropolitan Area Projects (MAPS) 3, updated the Oklahoma City Council this week on progress at the Oklahoma River. As part of the presentation he showed a flyover video from the city MAPS 3 office of the new whitewater rafting and kayaking project, showing the concrete formations that will frame the rushing waters.
When it opens next year, the facility will provide a world-class whitewater rafting experience just minutes from downtown Oklahoma City suitable for amateurs, families and professionals. It is part of the MAPS 3's Oklahoma River Improvements.
