Oklahoma's economy is the 10th fastest-growing among all 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia, according to numbers released this week by the U.S. Commerce Department's Bureau of Economic Analysis.
Oklahoma had a 2.8 percent growth in Real Gross Domestic Product between 2013 and 2014.
The Wall Street Journal noted that mining, which includes oil and natural-gas extraction, propelled much of the growth.
