Gov. Mary Fallin signed a bill into law this week that will protect the Oklahoma Film Enhancement Rebate Program and extend it until at least 2024.

“The film rebate has helped to create jobs and bring millions of dollars in investment to the state of Oklahoma,” said Fallin in a news release. “I am pleased to sign the extension of this program into law and to send a message that Oklahoma continues to be ‘open for business’ when it comes to the film industry.”

The Greater Oklahoma City Chamber has supported protecting this program among other economic development incentives that are key to recruiting businesses to Oklahoma and to creating a favorable business climate for existing companies.
