Metro 50 Top of the Charts: MCSG Technologies, No. 2

David Mitchell established MCSG Technologies in 2005 to provide information technology infrastructure support to civilian and Department of Defense government agency customers. Today, the technology company focuses on both IT solutions and facility support services.

That focus change has paid off for the company, which now boasts of 175 employees in six states and has anticipated annual gross sales of more than $25 million over the next two years.

“Our number one goal is to manage our customer’s technology infrastructure and solutions for them so they don’t have to,” said Mitchell, CEO of the Norman-based company. “By managing a client’s technology infrastructure and solutions, our clients can leave the day-to-day technology functions to us and they can focus on what they do best, and do it better through the conduit of technology.”

Mitchell said MCSG program managers have the knowledge and expertise needed to understand unique technical requirements, and the company’s goal is to provide the right solution for each client.

While growth and success came steadily to MCSG, Mitchell said the company has yet to meet its biggest milestones. Oklahoma has had a strong economy to grow a business in, but reaching states recovering from a recession is the next step for MCSG.

“We have been fortunate to operate in a state where the economy has not suffered to the extent of many of our neighbors,” Mitchell said. “Our biggest challenge today is finding the right people to add to our team. We take each hire very seriously and take great pride in every person who wears the MCSG logo on their sleeve.”

MCSG’s greatest successes are those that are the hardest to measure.

“We take great pride in solving our customers’ problems and delivering a solution that effectively meets their IT support needs,” Mitchell said. “Our success is measured ultimately by our customers and how they feel about the services we provide.”

Still, the company is strategically focused on expansion, noting that more than 100 new employees will be hired in the next three years to face that growth.

“We believe our biggest growth has not yet been reached,” Mitchell said.
