The Oklahoma City Urban Renewal Authority invites the submission of formal written proposals for the purchase and redevelopment of various parcels within the boundaries of the John F. Kennedy Urban Renewal Project Area in Oklahoma City. The property offered for redevelopment consists of a substantial number of platted infill lots generally bound on the north by NE 23rd and 13th Streets, on the south by NE 4th and 10th Streets and a segment of the BNSF OK-ARK Railroad right-of-way, and on the east by Martin Luther King Boulevard and Interstate Highway 35. All formal written proposals will be received at the offices of the Oklahoma City Urban Renewal Authority, 105 North Hudson Avenue, Suite 105, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The RFP will remain open until closed by the Authority's Board of Commissioners or Executive Director.

The Oklahoma Army National Guard announced today they will receive four UH-72A “Lakota” helicopters this year. The helicopters will replace four OH-58C “Kiowa” helicopters that have been in service for more than 30 years.

The Oklahoma Army National Guard announced today that the Broken Arrow Armed Forces Reserve Center (AFRC) has received the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) Gold rating. The LEED is the recognized standard for measuring building sustainability and is mandated for use by the Army. Achieving this certification is the best way to demonstrate that your building is truly "green".
