Mercy Participates in National Clinical Trial to Develop Blood Test to Detect Breast Cancer

Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City is part of a current clinical trial aimed at developing a blood test that could detect breast cancer and help doctors decide whether or not a patient needs a biopsy or additional imaging tests. Dr. Alan Hollingsworth, medical director of the Mercy Women's Center in Oklahoma City, hopes the clinical trial and the additional research work he’s conducting will find the much-needed answers to make quicker, more effective diagnoses of breast cancer to save lives and prevent patients from undergoing unnecessary biopsies.

Sundance Airport will host a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, July 31 at 4 p.m. celebrating the recent opening of Sundance Aircraft Maintenance and Sundance Flight Academy as well as the renovations to its fixed based operations building and two main hangars. This ceremony also celebrates the completion of 40 new T-hangars on the north side of the property.
