The Oklahoma City Council voted unanimously today to apply for a $17 million federal grant with hopes of building a $26 million MAPS 3 transportation hub at the site of the historic Santa Fe Depot.

Edmond to build long-term parks plan

EDMOND City officials will be working with the community to keep pace with Edmond's park and recreational needs.

Edmond Parks & Recreation Director Jim Bowlin said the city currently manages 21 parks, including four at Arcadia Lake, eight sports facilities, including Pelican Bay and seven sites offering 14 miles of trails.

OU Medical Center has been ranked number one in Oklahoma City in U.S. News & World Report's 2011-12 Best Hospitals rankings. The rankings, annually published by U.S. News for the past 22 years, will also be featured in the U.S. News Best Hospitals guidebook, which will go on sale August 30.
