The Oklahoma City Community Foundation Board of Trustees announces $118,000 in grants to fund five projects to benefit the community. Grants include awards from the Margaret Annis Boys Trust and the Literacy is for Everyone (LIFE) Initiative, which support beautification and literacy projects in central Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma City Community Foundation Board of Trustees announces $142,500 in Opportunities for Children iFund grants to eight charitable organizations in central Oklahoma providing direct services for children from birth to age 14. These grants will help provide access to education, specialized health care and cultural opportunities for children in need.

OKC High School Students Chosen to Attend Innovation Workshop at the University of Central Oklahoma

Three teams of Oklahoma City high school students will participate in the Oklahoma ArtScience Innovation Workshop from June 4-8 at the Center for Transformative Learning at the University of Central Oklahoma. The students earned the opportunity through participation in the Oklahoma ArtScience Prize, a project of Creative Oklahoma.

Oklahoma History Center Opens "Oklahoma @ The Movies"

A new major exhibit titled "Oklahoma @ The Movies" celebrating Oklahomans involvement with the motion picture industry now open to the public. This celebration showcases the creativity and innovation of Oklahomans and their legacy of creating, starring in, and watching motion pictures on the silver screen. The exhibit also explores film stories about Cowboys and Westerns, American Indians and Hollywood, African American movies filmed in the state, the film industry in Oklahoma, and the "Oklahoma Image" on screen.
