OKLAHOMA CITY, OK-October 14th, 2013- The 2013 OKC Oilfield Expo begins this week, October 16th-17th, 2013 at the Cox Convention Center, and judging from preregistered attendee numbers, will be the largest oil show in the state in attendance, in addition to number of booths and exhibitors.
Based on preregistration levels, the convenient location of the Cox Convention Center, just walking distance from some of the largest companies in energy, and an attendance criterion unique to Texas Classic Productions expos, attendance will be high quality in addition to considerable in number.
Due to an overwhelming response, preregistration will be open on www.OKCOilfieldExpo.com until midnight, Tuesday October 14th, 2013.
In addition to screening attendees to ensure they represent quality leads for exhibitors, strict policies against unethical trade show practices like brief-casing and trick-or-treating protects the integrity of the show, maintains a professional atmosphere and protects the investment of all participants, attendees and exhibitors alike.
“With hundreds of exhibitors and what’s projected to be massive attendance, we have to ensure that we provide the professional atmosphere in which our participants have invested,” said Amy Double, VP of Marketing for Texas Classic Productions LLC, the organizers of the 2013 OKC Oilfield Expo. “So anyone engaging in the type of behavior will be asked to leave the show.”
Brief-casing is a marketing practice where attendees walk the show floor and attempt to solicit exhibitors or begin to disseminate promotional materials indiscriminately. Trick-or-treating happens when attendees are on the premises just to collect free marketing “goodies”, instead of networking with or buying from exhibitors.
