The Oklahoma City Urban Renewal Authority (OCURA) recently released a request for proposals (RFP) for the purchase and redevelopment of various parcels within the boundaries of the John F. Kennedy Urban Renewal Project Area in Oklahoma City.
The RFP is intended to attract a wide range of redevelopment projects, especially better-quality residential development of varying urban densities to serve homeowners and tenants with mixed incomes. OCURA will coordinate the RFP with the City of Oklahoma City's ongoing efforts to encourage construction of affordable housing. The RFP also encompasses a variety of other possible land uses including but not limited to commercial and institutional facilities.
Proposals should be submitted at the OCURA offices at 105 North Hudson Avenue, Suite 105, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The RFP will remain open until closed by OCURA's Board of Commissioners or Executive Director. Since multiple proposals are expected over an extended timeframe, prospective redevelopers are advised to contact OCURA's Real Estate Administrator prior to submitting to determine which parcels are still available.
