The Oklahoma Supreme Court ruled the new workers’ compensation legislation constitutional, allowing Oklahoma to move to a cost-effective and streamlined administrative workers’ compensation system. The Greater Oklahoma City Chamber was an intervenor in the lawsuit, which gave the Chamber the opportunity to file briefs and make oral arguments in the case.

“SB 1062 will remove unnecessary obstacles for our businesses and provide an efficient avenue for our injured workers to get the help they need to return to work,” said Mark VanLandingham, vice president of government relations at the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber. “The ruling of the Oklahoma Supreme Court on SB 1062 is a major win for businesses and employees across the state of Oklahoma.”
