OKLAHOMA CITY – The Greater Oklahoma City Chamber received awards for leadership and economic development efforts from the International Economic Development Council.
Carl Edwards, chairman, and Roy H. Williams, president, were presented leadership awards.
Edwards was presented the Institutional Leadership Award for his efforts as chairman of the Presbyterian Health Foundation.
Williams received the IEDC Fellow Member Honorary Award, which is given to an IEDC member who has made significant contributions to the field of economic development through service and academic endeavors. Williams was nominated for the award by industry peers at the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce.
The Greater Oklahoma City Chamber staff was presented three Excellence in Economic Development Awards, including a Gold Award, the highest honor, for its Oklahoma City image campaign. The staff was presented two Silver Awards – one for its business retention and expansion program, and one for its commercial real estate website. – Staff report
